Goodlettsville Falls 3-1 At Little League World Series
The local team plays an elimination game Tuesday against California.

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PA — Following a defeat Monday afternoon, the Goodlettsville Little Leaguers hope they are playing a lot of baseball in the next few days.
A 3-1 loss to New York's Maine-Endwell in a game originally scheduled for Sunday but delayed due to rain sends Goodlettsville on to the elimination side of the U.S. bracket and now the team will have to win three games in four days to reach the U.S. final and four games in five days to play for the World Series championship. Goodlettsville won the U.S. title in 2012, its only other appearance in the Little League World Series.
Maine-Endwell pitcher Michael Mancini had 13 strikeouts and also scored two runs for Maine-Endwell. Zach McWilliams looked like he might spark another Goodlettsville comeback with a solo home run in the sixth, but his bomb proved to be all Goodlettsville could muster Monday.
