Goodlettsville Little Leaguers Headed Back to Williamsport

Goodlettsville run-rules Georgia team to make second trip to Little League World Series

A Goodlettsville team is headed back to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Penn. for the second time in five years.

Goodlettsville defeated Peachtree City, Ga. 15-3 in the Southeast Regional final Wednesday, becoming the first American team to punch a ticket to the annual end-of-summer event. Goodlettsville also qualified for the Little League World Series in 2012, winning the U.S. side of the bracket before losing to Tokyo in the championship.

A handful of players from this year's Goodlettsville team were in attendance as 8-year-olds during that first go-round and were determined to return when it was their time.
