Gunman Identified In Thursday's Robbery Of Bell Road Movie Theatre

South Precinct detectives have identified suspected serial robber Lloyd Eugene Rhodes, 57, as the gunman who robbed the AMC Theatre on Bell Road Thursday morning. Rhodes purchased a ticket for a movie Wednesday night and hid inside the building overnight before confronting the manager at gunpoint shortly after she reported for work late Thursday morning.

Rhodes robbed the manager of the keys to her Black Kia Forte which bears Tennessee license plate number 1M53P4. He fled the property in the Kia.

Rhodes has committed similar robberies in other cities, including Memphis, where he targeted a movie theatre last week.
