Heroin, Cocaine Seized During West Nashville Bust: Police

Metro Police and the DEA say they stopped a shipment of hundreds of grams of cocaine and heroin at a West Nashville home.

NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police detectives and Drug Enforcement Agency investigators tracking a drug shipment into Nashville were able to intercept it, seizing cocaine and heroin from a West Nashville apartment complex Tuesday, capping a six-month investigation.

MNPD officers and DEA agents were on the scene at Rolling Hills apartments on Premier Drive when Hector Galaves, 35, arrived. Investigators believed he was transporting cocaine and cash into his apartment.

During the surveillance, law enforcement said they saw Teresa Escalon-Espinal, 29, leaving the apartment carrying a red bag and getting into a car with Dantwan Claybrooks, 31. MNPD conducted a traffic stop on that car and say they found roughly 500 grams of cocaine.

Back at the apartment, agents executed a search warrant and say they discovered 300 grams of heroins and thousands of dollars in cash.

Galaves, Escalon-Espinal and Claybrooks all face Class A-level felony drug charges.
