Homeless Man Found Dead, Beaten On Lafayette Street
A 53-year-old was found dead in a parking lot south of downtown Nashville Friday morning.
NASHVILLE, TN — A 53-year-old man found dead in a Lafayette Street parking lot was beaten, Metro Police said.
Passers-by found the body of Alvester Merriweather in a parking lot at No. 5 Lafayette Street shortly before 8 a.m. Police said Merriweather, who was homeless, worked for a temporary agency based on Lafayette. Merriweather was last seen alive between 2 and 3 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 615-742-7463.
