How Do You Connect With Your Child

Connection with your child

Hey Tennessee! How are you reaching and teaching children about good character? To have self-esteem and be proud of who they are, or to build confidence so they use this to achieve their hopes and dreams in life. To confidently into the world before them. When we teach these skills at an early age and are role models for our children they internalize, embrace and grow through these lessons.

How do we teach our children to be kind and compassionate? Still hods true that children need positive role models and someone to look up to, someone to show them the way. We know what it likes to receive kindness from another. Do you know how it feels when you give unconditional kindness to others? When you sincerely want to help others without receiving anything in return? How it feels to give freely of your compassion for others? These are things that Warm-Hearted Walrus engages and teaches children to learn about. To not be a bully to others. What is bullying? To be kind and share acts of kindness to build a better community. This is a good character trait to have, to model, to teach, to share and to receive.

Characters of Character has character building kits on both Self-Esteem and Kindness with our character Self-Esteem Elephant and Warm-Hearted Walrus. This organization has reached to local libraries to see if they would find interest in donating these character building kits to children in their community and found a positive response. What we need now is support from the local community to become Sponsors for these activity boxes! The cost to put one box together averages $20.00 which includes a sturdy and colorful activity box of the character, an activity book, crayons, watercolors, a printed canvas to paint with a message, an easel to display the canvas, a character lanyard, a colored poster of the character trait, and a hand written letter from the character. Some good stuff right here to engage a child in this important lesson of character! Our goal is to be able to donate 100 of these character building lessons to your local library. Therefore, if you are or if you know of a local business who would find interest in donating to this project, please contact me. There are perks to your donation, first and foremost is the fact that you will empower a child in these character messages and make a difference in the life of a child. Then, depending on the donation, you will be mentioned in our social media, newsletter, press release or your logo on our website and on printed materials being donated to the library.

Characters of Character is registered in Illinois and Tennessee as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a firm foundation for children to establish strong civic values. We donate to children's hospitals where you can learn more here. Still, our children need positive messages, positive lessons, positive role models, positive activities to help build their own good character and grow into productive citizens, members of the community and adults. It all starts here, at a young age and with you.

Please share this information and together we will make the world a better place. You can contact me here. You can meet the Characters of Character here. You can donate here.
