How To Recycle Your Christmas Tree in Nashville

Metro is offering 14 different places to recycle the tree after Christmas. For free!

NASHVILLE, TN — Wondering how to get that Christmas tree out of the house? Metro has once again teamed up with contractor Nature's Best Organics to provide Nashvillians with a free way to recycle old tannenbaum, with 14 locations across the county for easy drop-off.

The Christmas Tree Recycling Drop-off program will run from December 26 to February 17, 2017 at the following locations:

  • Cane Ridge Park
  • Una Recreation Center
  • Whitfield Park
  • Cedar Hill Park
  • Two Rivers Park
  • Joelton Community Center
  • Sevier Park
  • Richland Park
  • Elmington Park
  • Edwin Warner Park
  • Former Lakewood City Hall
  • Douglas Park
  • Nature’s Best Organics of Tennessee at 1511 Elm Hill Pike
  • Nature’s Best Organics of Tennessee at 6401 Centennial Blvd

Nature’s Best Organics of Tennessee’s operating hours are Friday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Trees must be cleaned of all ornaments, lights, wire, string and other decor before bringing them to be tree-cycled. No artificial trees can be accepted.

Public Works will take the trees to Nature’s Best Organics of Tennessee to be chipped and composted into mulch. Last year, Nashvillians dropped off nearly 10,500 trees to be recycle.
