Keener, 21, who lived in an apartment complex in the Murfreesboro Pike/Nashboro area for about 3 months, is accused of entering another family’s apartment through an unlocked patio door, grabbing the 9-year-old by the hand, and taking her outside (the victim and her 4-year-old brother were in the apartment by themselves while their parents went to the store).
A witness reported hearing the victim scream to let her go and seeing Keener with his hands on her waist. The girl broke free and ran back to her apartment. Her mother called police after hearing what had taken place.
