Moore was stopped initially on Broadway, where he claimed he simply came across people arguing. During a search, police say they found a crack pipe in a cigarette pouch, but as he was being arrested for the drug paraphernalia, a stabbing call came in from Rosa Parks and Church, with a suspect matching Moore's description.
According to an affidavit, Moore said the man he stabbed at Rosa Parks called him a racial slur, but the victim said Moore spit on him as he walked by, so she shoved him and kept walking. Moore then stabbed the victim three times: on the left and ride side of his lower back and then in his forearm.
