Officer Matthew Cammarn has been decommissioned as the result of his off-duty arrest Saturday night by Hendersonville police for domestic assault against his wife.

The MNPD alerted Hendersonville authorities after Cammarn’s wife reported to a member of Metro police that he body checked and pushed her during a heated argument at the couple’s home in Sumner County. The MNPD has collected Cammarn’s police equipment. The Office of Professional Accountability will be conducting a parallel administrative investigation.
