Metro Police Scooter Hit During Traffic Stop

Surprised to learn Metro Police have scooters? Well, now they have one fewer.

NASHVILLE, TN — A driver hit a Metro Police scooter and nearly struck an officer before fleeing late Friday night.

Police say that the scooter-riding officer pulled over a car near West End and 17th just before midnight, but the driver put the car in reverse, hitting the scooter and nearly striking the officer.
