Middle Tennessee Storms: Tens Of Thousands Without Power

More than 4,500 without power in Davidson County, thousands more in Williamson County.

NASHVILLE, TN — More than 4,500 Nashville Electric Service customers in Davidson County and another 2,800 Middle Tennessee Electric customers in Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson counties were without power as of noon Wednesday. Neither NES nor MTEMC offered a timetable for power restoration, though with the worst of the day's severe weather pushing to the east, both utilities have deployed crews to restore power. At its peak, NES reported nearly 18,000 customers had lost power.
