Middle Tennessee Weather: Freeze Warning Issued, Snow Still On Tap
Bitter cold will hit the Midstate Friday and snow remains likely Saturday night.

NASHVILLE, TN — The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Middle Tennessee from 10 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday as temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-20s overnight.
With the recent warm weather, many plants and trees have begun to blossom and sensitive vegetation should be protected with the onrush of bitter cold air. Forecasters with the NWS haven't backed off the call for accumulating snow overnight Saturday, either. The weather service is now saying that snow totals in areas west of the Cumberland Plateau will likely remain below an inch, with locally higher amounts possible north and along Interstate 40, but there remains a high degree of uncertainty even 36 hours ahead of the likely change from rain to snow.
