Motorcycle Crash On Cowan Street Claims Nashville Man
The Nashville man killed today at 12:45 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle in the 800 block of Cowan Street has been identified.

The Nashville man killed today at 12:45 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle in the 800 block of Cowan Street is identified as Eric Pullens, 30.

The preliminary investigation shows that just prior to the crash Pullens was riding a Honda motorcycle east on Cowan Street when he entered a curve in the roadway and crossed over the double yellow lines to pass an eastbound vehicle while standing on the seat of the motorcycle. He was traveling at a high rate of speed and sitting on the seat when he lost control of the motorcycle. Pullens was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died.
There was no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement at the scene.
