Motorcyclist Dies After Collision With Car On Douglas Avenue
The victim has been identified as Daniel Ward, 37, of Nashville.

The motorcyclist killed in Saturday’s 11 p.m. collision with a car at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and the exit ramp from Ellington Parkway is identified as Daniel Ward, 37, of Nashville.

The investigation shows that Ward was riding a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on Douglas Avenue when he entered the intersection and was struck by the driver of a Nissan Maxima, Allison Stegall Jr., 74, who had just exited Ellington Parkway south and made a left turn in front of the motorcycle. Ward died at the scene. Stegall was not injured.
The Harley Davidson motorcycle did not have any functioning lights. Ward, who was not wearing a helmet, did not have a valid motorcycle license.

There was no evidence at the scene of alcohol or drug involvement in this fatal crash.
