Narcotics Detectives Arrest Convicted Felon For New Gun & Drug Charges In Nashville

Both men are charged with gun possession during commission of a dangerous felony and three counts of drug possession with intent to sell.

Narcotics detectives assigned to the Specialized Investigations Division Wednesday seized three handguns and a variety of drugs as the result of a search warrant at the 1704 14th Avenue North residence of Raymond Bevels Jr., 21. His father, convicted felon Raymond Bevels, 37, was also present.

Inside the house were three handguns, 985 grams of cocaine, marijuana, 112 ecstasy pills, and drug paraphernalia including scales and five bottles of an agent used to cut drugs.

Both men are charged with gun possession during the commission of a dangerous felony and three counts of drug possession with intent to sell. Bevels Jr. is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond. His father, who is also charged with felon in possession of a weapon, is being held on $90,000 bond. He has prior weapons and drug convictions.
