Low temperatures will get into the single digits this week across the Midstate as the brutal cold snap grabs hold.

NASHVILLE, TN — A dangerously cold week is on tap for the Midstate with temperatures only briefly passing the freezing mark and lows down in the single-digits, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Nashville. Wind chills in the early part of the week could dip below zero.
Tuesday: Sunny, a high of 26 with wind chills as low as minus-5. Partly cloudy after sundown, low of 11.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny and warmer, high of 33. Mostly clear in the evening, low of 12.

Thursday: Sunny and colder, high of 22. Partly cloudy after dark and bitterly cold, low of 9.
