Nashville Detectives Investigate Whether Rape Suspect May Have Victimized Others

Sex Crimes detectives continue to investigate whether rape suspect Christopher Wheeler, 31, may have victimized others.

Wheeler, who is homeless, and is believed to have lived in the middle Tennessee area since 2017, is charged with aggravated rape/assault for Wednesday afternoon’s attack of a 50-year-old homeless woman beneath the I-40 underpass near 6th Avenue South and Mulberry Street.

Anyone who believes they may have been victimized by Wheeler, who remains jailed, is asked to contact the MNPD’s Sex Crimes Unit at 615-862-7540.
