Nashville Detectives Investigating Murder Of Local Counselor

Madison Precinct detectives are investigating the brutal murder of Melissa Hamilton, 50, inside her workplace at Crossroads Counseling, 521 Gallatin Pike South, where she was the assistant director.

Hamilton facilitated a group counseling session Tuesday night at Crossroads which concluded at 7:30 p.m. It was not uncommon for her to conduct individual counseling following the group session.

Hamilton’s husband contacted police at 6 a.m. after he awoke and found that his wife had not returned home. Responding officers found Hamilton’s body a short time later inside the business with obvious signs of trauma.

Hamilton’s vehicle, a Ford Focus, was found parked near the front door of the business.
