Nashville Detectives Seek Leads In August Cold Case Murder

Metro Police detectives have struggled almost from the start to find leads in an August murder in North Nashville.

NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Nashville Police detectives have a tough investigation on their hands: an August murder in North Nashville that's produced almost no leads in more than seven months.

The body of Victor Connor, 24, was found at dawn August 28 near the intersection of 11th Avenue and Cockrill Street. Though initially investigators thought he was stabbed, further examination showed multiple gunshot wounds, with Connor likely shot around midnight.

In the immediate aftermath, neighbors reported hearing gun shots around the time police believe Connor was shot and one person said they saw an African-American man with blonde dreadlocks running away from the scene. But other than that, detectives have very little to go on.

“We had several Crime Stopper tips come in at first,” Detective Jason Frank told WKRN. “We followed up with those leads but it’s gone cold. I don’t have anywhere else to go with it.”
