NASHVILLE, TN — A Nashville man learned a tough lesson Friday: Always signal your intentions before changing lanes, particularly if you are hauling nearly 11 ounce of cocaine (allegedly).
Metro Police pulled over 30-year-old Uriel Vargas for failure to signal Friday afternoon. According to an affidavit, Vargas told police he did not have a driver's license and when asked if officers could search his car, he said he did not understand. Meanwhile, according to police, K9 officer Boston conducted a "free air sniff" and indicated the presence of narcotics and a search turned up more than 300 grams of cocaine in the back seat.
Vargas is charged with possession of cocaine and is being held on a $250,000 bond and an ICE detainer
