The employee was assigned to the Logistics Division. The NFD employee did not have interactions with patients or respond to active fire scenes. Our employee also did not interact with field personnel.
The department has been updating our protocols to better protect personnel who do work with the public. That includes increased use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and checking our personnel’s temperatures.
Personnel take their temperature at the beginning and end of their shift.
