Nashville Fire Department Temporarily Relocates Fire Station 5 Personnel

NFD will update the public on the progress of restoring service from Station 5 as it becomes available.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 29, 2020) – The Nashville Fire Department is temporarily relocating personnel assigned to Fire Station 5 located at 1101 8th Avenue South.

A collapse of the main sewer line at the fire station means we must immediately close the fire station and relocate personnel. NFD Maintenance estimates the repair process will take 4 – 6 weeks.

Effective Wednesday, April 29, 2020 personnel will be temporarily assigned to the following fire stations.

Engine 5 will relocate to Station 21 located at 320 Joyner Avenue
Medic 5 will relocate to Station 17 located at 3911 West End Avenue
Rescue 2 will relocate to Station 19 located at 516 26th Avenue North.

NFD will update the public on the progress of restoring service from Station 5 as it becomes available.
