Nashville Homicide Detectives Investigating Fatal Shooting At Nolensville Pike Hookah Bar

Homicide Unit detectives are investigating Friday’s early morning fatal shooting of Edgardo Cruz-Reyes, 23, at the Hookah City Café, 4651 Nolensville Pike.

Officers responded at 3:45 a.m. and located Cruz-Reyes critically injured outside the business in the parking lot. He was transferred to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died. A second man who was shot in the arm is recovering.
According to witnesses, a gunman opened fire inside the bar during a physical fight that reportedly stemmed from an argument about a woman. After the shooting, numerous patrons fled in vehicles and were not present when police arrived.
