Nashville Missing Person James Springer Found Dead On Roadside
Officers are searching for his SUV.

Homicide Unit detectives are asking for the community’s assistance in locating a 2017 blue Nissan Rogue SUV in connection with the death of missing person James Springer, 60, who was found dead at 11 a.m. today on the side of West Hamilton Road near Drakes Branch Road by a resident walking in the area.

The Rogue, which bears Tennessee license plate 4H4-8L7, was being driven by Springer when he went to the Subway restaurant at 130 W. Trinity Lane at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday to buy a family member a sandwich. Springer did not return to his Saunders Avenue home after leaving the restaurant. His wife reported him missing at midnight.
Springer had trauma to his head when he was found. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
