Jailer Sprayed With Feces, Urine By Nashville Murder Suspect: Report

Already jailed on murder charges, a jail inmate allegedly sprayed a sheriff's deputy with a squirt bottle filled with excrement.

NASHVILLE, TN — A Davidson County Jail inmate being held on murder charges allegedly sprayed a guard with a squirt bottle he'd filled with feces and urine.

According to an affidavit, a deputy was taking Chad Edwards — who is being held in the jail on charges related to the 2016 slaying of Corvel Carter — outside for recreation time when Edwards pulled a bottle from inside his jumpsuit and sprayed the guard's face.

Edwards, according to the complaint, had filled the bottle with feces and urine.

Edwards is charged with assault of an officer in addition to his previous charges of first-degree murder, felony murder and especially aggravated robbery.
