The Domestic Violence Division Wednesday participated in the 17th Annual National Domestic Violence Family Apprehension Warrant Sweep.
The sweep is a day-long event in which agencies across the country attempt to serve outstanding family violence warrants.

Metro police precinct personnel participated along with Warrants, Special Response Team officers, MDHA Task Force officers, Criminal Court Clerk’s Office, and Metro Nashville Emergency Communications.
“October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month”, said Domestic Violence Division Captain Michelle Richter. “It is our hope that we can send a strong message to offenders throughout Davidson County that we will work together to find them and hold them accountable.”
This partnership resulted in officers attempting to serve multiple outstanding warrants with 20 offenders arrested on 24 misdemeanors and 14 felonies.
Domestic Violence Division Sergeant Christopher Bryant supervised the warrant sweep.
