Nashville Police: 2-Year-Old Fatally Shot 7-Year-Old Cousin
Metro Nashville Police say that an investigation indicates a 2-year-old shot and fatally wounded her 7-year-old cousin south of downtown.

NASHVILLE, TN — Investigators believe a 2-year-old girl shot and killed her 7-year-old cousin inside an apartment south of downtown Tuesday afternoon.
A tweet from the Metro Nashville Police Department confirmed the findings of the preliminary investigation into the death on Lewis Street:
Preliminary investigation is indicating a 2 year old girl shot & fatally wounded a 7 year old girl inside a Lewis St. apt. this afternoon.

The 7-year-old was identified as Harmony Warfield. Police said the girls were cousins. Warfield was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she died after the 1:45 p.m. shooting. An investigation into how the toddler ended up with a gun is ongoing.
