Nashville Police: Brothers Take Car In For Service, Forget To Remove Crack

Two men wanted on drug charges left their crack in a car they brought in for service, according to MNPD.

NASHVILLE, TN — We all know it's important to take the car in for regular service. It's also usually a good idea to take the valuables out of the vehicle before dropping it off. Things like cash, watches, jewelry, 30 grams of crack.

Metro Police had been tracking a pair of brothers wanted on various drug-related warrants when investigators noted they bought a car at a Nashville dealership. Detectives asked the car lot to let them know if the brothers ever came back.

Indeed, the pair brought their car in for service, the dealership called the police and the brothers were arrested on the scene. A cursory search of the vehicle didn't turn up anything, but police impounded it for a deeper look. At the impound lot, according to police, they discovered 30 grams of crack cocaine in the driver's side door along with walkie-talkies investigators believe were used for communications during drug deals.

Both men are being held on a number of felony drug charges.
