Nashville Police Search For Home Invader Who Shot At Officer

Three people broke into a home on Hermosa Street and then one shot at a responding officer, according to police.

NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police are searching for a suspect who, after participating in a home invasion with two other people, fired a gun at the responding officer.

Three people broke into a home on Hermosa Street around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. The homeowner said they knocked on her door but she refused to let them in and they broke her window. The responding officer saw one of the suspects in the yard and then a second suspect ran out of the home and fired a gun. The officer did not return fire and no one was hurt. The suspects fled on foot.

The victim said the suspects are young men, between the ages of 18 and 20, all wearing dark clothing and masks. She said she believed they were at the house to see her son who was not home.
