Nashville Predators Pop Record TV Rating Sunday
Nielsen says more than 95,000 homes watched the Preds beat St. Louis Sunday, blowing away the previous ratings record for the team.

NASHVILLE, TN — The Nashville Predators drew their highest-ever local television rating for Sunday's Game 3 3-1 playoff win against the St. Louis Blues.
The overnight mark for NBC's Sunday afternoon broadcast was a 9.4 rating, representing 95,060 households in the Nashville market area. The rating peaked in the third period with a 14.3, around 144,600 households.

The 9.4 is the highest rating ever for the hockey team, far outpacing the previous mark of 7.2, set in Game 6 of the 2015 playoff series against Chicago.

For a little perspective, the only teams that beat a 9.4 rating consistently are the Titans, UT football and Kentucky hoops in tourney.

The Predators drew a 60 share during the broadcast, meaning 60 percent of all televisions that were turned on in the Nashville area were tuned into the hockey game.
The Predators, who now lead the best-of-7 series 2-1, play Game 4 Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena at 8:30 p.m. That game will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.
