Nashville Shooting Victim Halbert Poole III Has Died From His Injuries
Homicide detectives are pursuing leads in the investigation of the Dec. 30 shooting.

Halbert Poole III, 25, who was shot and critically injured on December 30th after a verbal argument outside the Little Barn Market, 3909 Clarksville Pike, has died.

Poole and his friend Donald Floyd, 25, got into an argument with two men/suspects outside the market at 5 p.m. The suspects drove off in a blue Nissan Altima. Poole and Floyd left in a separate vehicle, Floyd behind the wheel and Poole his front seat passenger.
Floyd reported that a short time later, the men in the Nissan came toward them in the opposite lane of travel on Cedar Circle near the intersection of Meadow Road. As the vehicles were passing each other, the suspects allegedly opened fire on the victims’ vehicle, striking Poole twice. Floyd was not injured. He then drove to a residence on Lunn Drive from where police were called.
