Nashville Shootings Up Sharply From Last Year: Police

There have been 18 shootings in Davidson County in a little more than one week.

NASHVILLE, TN — There have been 18 shootings in Nashville in a little more than a week and, year-to-date, shootings in the city have risen sharply.

Since last Wednesday, 18 people have been shot in Metro, five of whom died. Only one arrest has been made in those fatal shootings.

Fifteen of the 140 shooting victims year-to-date have been juveniles. Those 140 total victims year-to-date represent a roughly 55 percent increase over the same period last year.
