Nashville Week-Ahead Weather: A Stormy Start

Rain is expected in Nashville for the first half of the work week, with storms possible Monday and Tuesday.

NASHVILLE, TN — A stormy start to the week is ahead, the National Weather Service forecast for Nashville. After the system moves out Wednesday, temperatures cool off once again.

Monday: A 70 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm after noon with a high of 65. Winds of 10 to 15 mph, increasing to 15 to 20 mph later, with gusts up to 35 mph. Showers and storms a near certainty overnight, with winds of 20 to 25 mph, decreasing to 10 to 15 mph later. Gusts as high as 45 mph possible. Low of 52.

Tuesday: Sunny and nice, with a high of 69. Winds of 10 to 15 mph gusting to 20 mph. A 70 percent chance of showers and storms after sundown, with better chances after midnight, a low of 51.

Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers, otherwise cloudy, high of 62. A 30 percent chance of showers in the evening, a low of 38.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and cooler, high of 51. A clear evening, low of 33.

Friday: Sunny with a high of 53. Partly cloudy overnight, low of 32.
