Nashville Weekend Weather: Friday Night Rain and Then Much Colder
Showers roll into Nashville Friday night and temperatures drop off sharply for the weekend.

NASHVILLE, TN — Much needed rain rolls in Friday night and much cooler temperatures follow, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Nashville. Temperatures will dip well below freezing Saturday and Sunday night.
Friday night: A slight chance of rain before 10 p.m., then increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms. South winds of 10 to 15 mph veering to the northwest after midnight, with gusts up to 20 mph. Overall chance of precipitation of 80 percent. Low of 42.
Saturday: Sunny and much cooler, high of 52. Winds out of the northwest at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. A freeze watch overnight with patchy frost after 3 a.m., with a low of 29.

Sunday: Patchy frost before 7 a.m., then sunny with a high of 49. Clear after sundown with widespread frost after 1 a.m., low of 26.
