Nashville Woman Stabs Ex-Boyfriend For Refusing To Cook: Police

A 29-year-old woman stabbed her ex-boyfriend when he refused to make food for her, according to police.

NASHVILLE, TN — A Nashville woman may have overreacted when her ex-boyfriend said he wouldn't prepare a meal for her.

According to an affidavit, Stranesha Buford, 29, asked her ex to make her some food July 26. When he refused to do so, she allegedly threw a glass at him. The man told police he was able to restrain her after the glass-throwing, but she stabbed him on the left side of his back with a kitchen knife while he was holding her. The man was able to keep a hold on Buford until a family member arrived to take him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Buford is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is being held on a $35,000 bond.
