North Nashville Family Held Hostage During Home Invasion
A family of four was tied up inside their Whites Creek Pike home during an early morning home invasion Friday.

NASHVILLE, TN — Five suspects held a family of four hostage during an early morning home invasion Friday on Whites Creek Pike.
Investigators say the quintet broke into the home around 5 a.m., zip-tying a couple and their children, aged 4 and 13. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Middle Tennessee Patch morning newsletter.)
The family told police the suspects were in the home for a half hour or so and fled after they were spooked by sirens from a nearby fire station. The family then ran to a neighbor's and called 911.

Detectives said it's still not clear what, if anything, the armed men took from the ransacked home.
The mother was cut on the leg and was treated on the scene, otherwise there were no injuries.
