North Nashville Shooting Critically Injures 1
A man is in critical but stable condition after an early morning shooting at 16th Avenue and Wheless Street.

NASHVILLE, TN — A man shot numerous times in North Nashville early Monday is in critical condition and police are looking for multiple gunmen.
The shooting was reported just after 1 a.m. on 16th Avenue North at Wheless Street. Investigators say the shooters got out of a car, shot the as-yet-unidentified victim and then fled.

Police have not yet released a description of the car or the suspects.
Neighbor Tracey Manning told Channel 4 she was awoken by the gunshots and cries for help.

"I was in my bed, my children were in their beds. All I heard were gunshots," she told the station. "And I heard somebody saying, 'Help, help, somebody call 911.'"
Another neighbor told WKRN events like Monday morning's are a too frequent occurrence in the neighborhood, where all she hears is "gunshots and sirens."
