Ohio Man Charged In Nashville Downtown Stabbing

David Mingee, 35, of Springfield, Ohio, is charged with attempted criminal homicide for the February 4th stabbing of a man in the 300 block of Broadway after the two argued.

Officers responded and found the victim with cuts to his face and neck. He said that he and the suspect, who did not know each other, exchanged insults after the suspect made a comment about a woman who was with the victim. The victim was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he was treated and released.

A tip to Crime Stoppers led to the identification of Mingee who is being held in lieu of $350,000 bond.
