One Killed, One Wounded in Parking Lot Shootout: Police

The Metro Nashville police are looking for a motive in the Saturday night incident at a public housing complex.

NASHVILLE, TN — The Metro Nashville police are investigating a shooting Saturday night in the parking lot of a public housing complex in which one man was killed and another was seriously wounded. The police responded shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday to the Cayce Homes complex in the 500 block of South 6th Street, according to a media report.

Upon arriving at the parking lot, they found Anthony London, 23, of Carterwood Drive, who was fatally wounded, according to a police report. London was taken to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.

A short time later, the police found Treshon Patton, 22, of 14th Avenue South, near 610 Shelby Ave., the report said. Patton had been shot in the stomach, and he's being treated at the Vanderbilt hospital.

Neither London nor Patton lived at Cayce Homes, WZTV Fox17 News Nashville reported. The motive for the shooting is unknown, the police said.
