Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Hit & Run Driver On Dickerson Pike In Nashville

Roadway evidence indicates that the vehicle involved is a grey 2007-2009 Toyota Corolla.

The pedestrian struck and killed Wednesday night by a hit and run driver on Dickerson Pike near Barnett Drive is identified as Kimah Meriweather, 26.

Meriweather, of Trailwood Circle, was walking with his brother south on Dickerson Pike (there is no sidewalk) when the passenger side of a southbound car struck Meriweather at 9:15 p.m. He died at the scene.

Roadway evidence indicates that the vehicle involved is a grey 2007-2009 Toyota Corolla with damage to the front passenger side, including a missing side mirror.

Additionally, both men were not walking against traffic, as is required by Metro ordinance, since there is no sidewalk.
