Pedestrian Hit By A Car On West End Avenue Last Sunday Died Today

A pedestrian critically injured last Sunday evening after being hit by a car on West End Avenue near Murphy Road died today.

Andrew Miller, 30, was struck at 7:30 p.m. in the far left lane of West End Avenue just across from the entrance to his apartment building by an eastbound 2006 Honda Civic being driven by Keturah Tobias, 19, of Hendersonville. Tobias reported that she did not see Miller until just before hitting him. She swerved to the right in an effort to avoid him either just before or at impact. Neither Tobias nor her two passengers were injured.

Miller was outside of a crosswalk. The nearest one was 345 feet from the point of impact. The section of roadway was well lit. The investigation is continuing.
