Pedestrian Hit And Killed By Semi Truck On I-65

The pedestrian struck and killed by a semi-truck in a Tuesday night hit & run collision on I-65 north near Rosa L. Parks Boulevard is identified as Preston Woods, 39, of Nashville.

The investigation shows that the blue International semi was traveling north on I-65 at approximately 9 p.m. when it struck Woods and kept going. The truck, which has some damage as a result of the collision, has not been located despite notifications Tuesday night to the Tennessee Highway Patrol and Kentucky State Police.

It is not known why Woods was on the interstate.
