Plane Crashes At Nashville's John C. Tune Airport
A student pilot at the controls of a Cessna was injured in a small-plane crash at Tune Thursday.

NASHVILLE, TN — A student pilot at the controls of a Cessna was uninjured following a crash at West Nashville's John C. Tune Airport Thursday morning.

"The Metropolitan Airport Authority Department of Public Safety responded to an aircraft emergency at approximately 10:00 am CT at John C. Tune Airport involving a general aviation flight school aircraft (single engine Cessna 172) with one individual on board," a statement from the airport authroity said.

The accident resulted from "a mishap during landing, causing the air craft to flip over," according to the MNAA. The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate further. Operations resumed just after noon.
