Single-Vehicle Crash On West Hamilton Road Claims Life Of Nashville Man

The Nashville man killed in Thursday’s 4:45 p.m. single-vehicle crash on W. Hamilton Road in North Nashville is identified as Howard Dye, 35.

The preliminary investigation shows that Dye was driving a Ford Fusion west on W. Hamilton Road near Drakes Branch Road. He was driving at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck a tree. Dye, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died.

Toxicology testing will be conducted.
