South Precinct Detectives Pursuing Active Leads In Murder Of Golden Hairston

South Precinct detectives are working active leads in Tuesday night’s murder of Golden Hairston, 28, in the parking lot of Hickory Highlands Apartments on Hickory Highlands Drive.

Hairston, of Bell Road, was outside his car talking to another man when a black SUV pulled up. A person inside the SUV opened fire. Hairston was hit and fell to the ground. The person with whom Hairston was speaking reportedly opened fire on the vehicle as it fled.

Officers responded to the shots fired call just after 9:30 p.m. Hairston was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
