Tad Cummins Left Note For Wife, Needs Heart Medication: Maury DA

Now more than a month since the disappearance of Elizabeth Thomas, the Maury County DA is urging pharmacists to be on the lookout.

COLUMBIA, TN — Suspected kidnapper Tad Cummins left a note for his wife the day he and his former student, 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas, disappeared, the Maury County district attorney announced. DA Brent Cooper also said that Cummins, 50, should be running low on blood pressure medication and is due for a refill soon.

While Cooper did not elaborate on the content of the note, he said it was clear it was a red herring to buy time for Cummins, the former Culleoka Unit School teacher alleged to have abducted Thomas March 13.

Cooper asked that pharmacy employees across the country keep an eye out for Cummins and Thomas, as the former may try to refill his prescription.
