Teen Arrested After Brazen Edgehill Stick-Up

Police arrested a 19-year-old and are looking for his alleged accomplice after a broad daylight armed robbery near Edgehill Village.

NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police arrested a 19-year-old after a bold midday armed robbery Monday afternoon. His alleged accomplice is still on the lam.

A man and two women were walking home after lunch at Taco Mamacita in Edgehill Village at he corner of Villa Place and Edgehill Avenue when police say they were approached by two men loitering outside a nearby home. The trio said the men pointed guns at them, stole their belongings and fled through a backyard. Using surveillance footage and witness descriptions, detectives identified and arrested Sandrez Johnson, 19. His alleged accomplice was not identified.

Detectives are also working to determine if Johnson is connected to similar robberies in the neighborhood, including that of a 66-year-old robbed at gunpoint in his own front yard last month.
