Tennessee Versus Nebraska in the Music City Bowl: Everything You Need To Know

The University of Tennessee Volunteers (8-4) and the Cornhuskers of the University of Nebraska (9-3) square off at Nissan Stadium in the Music City Bowl Friday, December 30. The game is expected to be at or near a sellout with nearly 68,000 college football fans filling the stands on the East Bank.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Tickets: Only 83 tickets were available from Ticketmaster as of 10:30 Thursday morning. There are also seats available on secondary sites like StubHub.

Parking: All on-site parking at Nissan Stadium requires parking passes, which are sold out. The Nissan Stadium lots will open at 8:30 a.m. There are plenty of cash lots around the stadium. Gray Line will offer at $15 round-trip shuttle service from the Renaissance Hotel downtown and from Greer Stadium. The service begins at 12:30 PM.

Prohibited items: Nissan Stadium will adhere to the NFL bag policy, which allows bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag. Small clutch bags, no larger than the hand, may be carried along with one of the clear-bag options. Also prohibited are banners or signs larger than a standard piece of poster board, video cameras, any item with a pole or stick (including selfie sticks), umbrellas, strollers, noisemakers and laser pointers.

Traffic: The Woodland Street Bridge closes at 11:30 AM to car traffic and is available only to pedestrians and shuttles until after the game. The Korean Veterans Bridge is open to traffic in both directions until the beginning of the fourth quarter, at which time it moves to westbound (that is: towards downtown) traffic only. Those travelling into Nashville for the game are advised to monitor the interstate electronic message boards and Nashville commuters are advised that post-game traffic could cause extra congestion. Broadway between First and Fifth Avenue will be closed until mid-morning Saturday for pre-game events.
