Would-Be Thieves Shoot Through Drive-Thru At Joelton McDonald's: Police

Two men armed with long guns failed in their bid to rob a Joelton McDonald's, but did manage to shoot out a window.

JOELTON, TN — Would-be robbers fired a bullet through the drive-thru window at a Joelton McDonald's early Tuesday, according to police.

Just after midnight, two men in a green SUV pulled up to the Eatons Creek Road McDonald's with long guns and approached four employees were outside smoking and taking out the trash. Three of the four ran away, but one employee told police she "froze" because the two men were armed. The men demanded to be let inside the restaurant, but the woman told them she was locked out, so they walked her, at gunpoint, to the drive-thru window, firing a shot at the window upon arrival. The men, who were wearing bandannas over their faces, then ran back to the SUV and drove off.
